Born into a multicultural family in Brussels and raised in the sunnier climes of Spain, Sophie made a brief career debut in communication, before her passionate interest in gemstones and jewellery took her to Paris to study gemmology. After 9 years with the Place Vendôme's most prestigious jewellers she now charters her own course, working to commission since 2003 and crafting one-of-a-kind jewels under the MENORQUA brand.
